PRESS RELEASE: CANINE INFLUENZA (H3N8)
Physical Examination: Early detection is the key to successful treatment of any disease condition. By performing annual examinations, we are able to identify disease processes as well as make nutritional, behavioral, and weight management recommendations. Diseases such as heart disease, diabetes, oral disease, and cancer are treated much more successfully when an early diagnosis is made.
Diagnostic Radiology: The Seville Wadsworth Veterinary Clinic is equipped with full radiographic and diagnostic ultrasound capabilities. We are also able to perform contrast studies when indicated.
Preventative Health Care: Preventative health care is more than just vaccinations. We strive to educate clients on proper vaccination protocols, heartworm prophylaxis, nutritional support, and weight management. Preventative health care is the best way to achieve a long and happy life for your pet.
Surgical Services: The Seville Wadsworth Veterinary Clinic features a fully equipped surgical suite. Surgical procedures include: spay/neuter, declawing, dewclaw removal, tumor removal, surgical biopsy, abdominal exploratory surgery, ocular surgery, caesarean section, orthopedic surgery, and many more.
Dentistry: Dental disease is a very common and possibly devastating disease of our pets. As with most diseases, early detection is key to successful treatment. Dental disease can lead to undesired consequences such as bad breath, tooth loss, and gingivitis just to name a few. Dental cleaning entails placing every pet under anesthesia and performing a complete ultrasonic scaling and polishing of every tooth. We also perform extractions on severely diseased or broken teeth.
Orthopedic Services: Lameness is also a very common problem in our pet population. We offer complete orthopedic evaluations, diagnostic x-ray services, and surgical procedures including cranial cruciate ligament repair, femoral head resection, and fracture repair.
Laboratory Services: The Seville Wadsworth Veterinary Clinic has in-house bloodwork capabilities as well as relationships with outside labs for biopsy readings. We are also able to perform bacterial and fungal cultures when necessary in order to choose the correct antibiotic therapy.
Kitten and Puppy Education: The most critical time in the life of your dog or cat is the first few months. This time shapes your pets' behaviors, attitudes, as well as health for the rest of their lives. We offer puppy/kitten counseling to every new pet owner. This includes behavioral training information as well as health education on issues such as internal parasites, vaccination schedules, and heartworm prevention.
24-hour Emergency Services: We are pleased to provide 24-hour emergency service to give you the peace of mind that your regular veterinarian can examine your pet in the event of an emergency situation.
